By Car

Lake Forest and Lake Bluff are easily accessible by car from the Tri-State Tollway (I-94), and via Skokie Highway (US Highway 41) which runs through both communities, roughly bisecting them into east and west. Lake Forest is connected to suburbs to the west via Illinois Route 60, and Lake Bluff connects via Illinois Route 176.

By Train

Additionally, the communities of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff are served by two Metra lines. The East Lake Forest and East Lake Bluff stations are served by the Union Pacific North Line which runs from Chicago’s Ogilvy Transportation Center to Kenosha, Wisconsin. The West Lake Forest station is a stop along the Milwaukee District North Line running from Chicago’s Union Station to Fox Lake.
