Expression Gallery of Fine Art | 224 Westminster Avenue, Lake Forest

Lake/Forest Lake Bluff Chamber: Tell us about Expression Gallery of Fine Art and what inspired you to open in this community?

Eva Jaroszewicz: I have been the owner of Expression Gallery of Fine Art since 2005. Together with my late business partner, Tim DeWine, we had two locations in Chicago and Hinsdale.

I observed Lake Forest and noticed a gap in the market for fine art galleries. As an art dealer, I saw that as a window to share my knowledge and expertise about graphic works on paper by 19th and 20th century masters. I am excited to share with the Lake Forest community and surrounding suburbs a premiere collection of museum quality works with compelling exhibitions.

LF/LB: Can you share a bit about your distinguished collection of art?

EJ:  At Expression Gallery, we specialize in contemporary French painters, graphics by 19th and 20th century masters, as well as contemporary master Nikolay Blokhin. Our French painters such as Jenn Moiras, Georges Coulomb, Jean-Michel Guenard are famous all over the world. Nikolay Blokhin painFngs are coveted by collectors. The collection features rare works by Rembrandt van Rijn, James Whistler, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Henri Matisse, and Marc Chagall.

LF/LB: What is your hope and vision for the future of Expression Gallery of Fine Art?

EJ: I hope to introduce the community of Lake Forest to the world of fine art. As an alumni of Merrill Chase Galleries, I have thirty four years of experience in the art business. I have built important collections in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Fine art is classic, not a fashion. It gives the opportunity to invest and diversify portfolios. It builds legacies for future generations, brings enjoyment, and opens horizons to beauty and great talents.

LF/LB: How does Expression Gallery of Fine Art plan to support or give back to the community?

EJ:  I am excited to share a lifetime of knowledge about fine art with the residents of Lake Forest and Chicago area. In Hinsdale, I organized a competition of 90 children to paint like French masters. The creativity and sense of accomplishment was the talk of the town. I would love to organize another such event for the families of Lake Forest.

LF/LB: Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself or Expression Gallery of Fine Art?

EJ: On Saturday, May 30th, at 4pm, all are invited to our grand opening celebration. We will unveil a new collection of paintings by Jean-Michel Guenard. Everyone is welcome!
