Join Lake Forest's own Market on the Square (between Bank Lane and Forest Avenue) featuring local vendors and locally produced flowers, vegetables and goods. Market on the Square provides a congenial gathering place to trade locally grown and homemade products in an open air setting. Proceeds will benefit the community spirit as well as the local economy. Featured local vendors to date: The Garden at Elawa Farm, Amidei Mercatino, Southgate Cafe, Kiddles Sports, Lake Forest Flowers, Bee Boys and Charenton, and Organic Wellness Cafe.

LF Day Parade
Time: 10:00am
The Centennial Parade theme is honoring the Lake Forest American Legion McKinlock Post 264 and the Service Veterans of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and Knollwood. The parade route will commence at the corner of Western and Woodland, progress to Deerpath, Oakwood, Westminster and Summit, terminating at West Park. Festive floats and marching bands will be sponsored by service clubs, businesses and LF/LB organizations. The first Lake Forest Day Parade was celebrated in 1908 with a parade hosted by the Lake Forest Women's Club. In 1921, the Lake Forest American Legion assumed the leadership for organizing the parade on behalf of the City of Lake Forest.

Concert in the Square
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Minus 88 -- New to the series they are going to unofficially close the festivities for the Centennial of Lake Forest Day. They have been a hit at Bluffinia in Lake Bluff and now they are going to rock the Lake Forest concert goers. They perform every type of music and put on a great show -- come and see some great local talent!

This is the 7th year for the concerts and it is growing each year. Come out and enjoy a mini Ravinia experience in beautiful Market Square in the heart of downtown east Lake Forest. Bring your whole family to enjoy music, dance and fun. Radio icon Tommy Edwards is the weekly emcee. If you remember Uncle Larry Lujack, Little Tommy and Animal Stories on the radio, you will love to listen to him each week. There will also be a free drawing each week for a beautiful basket or gift certificate from a local merchant or sponsor. So bring your blanket and get there early to find a great spot to enjoy the evening. Food vendors will be set up prior to the concert so that you can purchase your food before or during the concerts.

The entire nine week concert series is sponsored by Broadacre Market Square Management, Lake Forest Bank & Trust Company, Baytree National Bank & Trust, Historic Market Square Merchants Association, LF/LB Chamber, and many other locals.

This group will take you on a musical journey back to The British Invasion, Shindig, Woodstock era, and so much more. Art Fair on the Square

The Deer Path Art League's 54th Art Fair on the Square will be held in historic Market Square at Deer Path and Western Avenue, Lake Forest, IL. The art festival is a highly rated well-attended event of long standing.

The Art Fair on the Square is the Deer Path Art League's signature event. The art festival helps to fulfill their mission to bring the visual arts to the community. This year 180 artists will be selected to participate. These artists are selected through a jury process after reviewing submitted images of their art. Last year over 600 national and international artists from across the United States applied to participate in this event.
