Laura Sessions Stepp, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist for The Washington Post and national bestselling author of "Our Last Best Shot" and "Unhooked" will be featured as keynote speaker at LEAD's Parent University at Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest.
"Talking Is Not Enough: What Really Matters When Raising Kids"
The keynote address will be followed by a morning of workshops on a wide range of subjects of interest to parents and educators of children in Pre-K through 12th grade, including a special workshop by Laura Sessions Stepp, 'Hooking Up', which will be based on her recently released book.

The Lalo will be performed by Ryan Murphy, one of the winners of the James Glacking Young Musicians Competition.

The Lake Forest Symphony Guild will host a guest artist tea in anticipation of the symphony's concerts on March 7th and 8th. The tea will feature Maestro Alan Heatherington, Music Director of Lake Forest Symphony and bassoonist, Robert Barris. Barris will speak to the group about his work as a professional musician and also include a short performance.
